Accumulator is a body of sculptural and ritual-based work that considers altar-building as a system for communicating with the unknown. The works function as speculative, devotional machines: assemblages that attempt to gather, hold, and transmit unseen forces. Do these forms open a pathway to the unknown, or do they obstruct it? Like a roadside shrine or a stone in the zen garden that redirects the rake’s trajectory, these totemic vessels function simultaneously as channel, barrier and offering.
